We process personal data for vehicle rental and transport services in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data we process
To deliver a rental or transport service we process your name, contact details (phone, email, address), driving licence details, booking and rental data, payment transaction data and any damage or insurance information. For business customers we also process invoicing details. On the website we process technical usage data collected via cookies.
3. Legal basis and purpose
We process data to perform the rental agreement, to comply with legal obligations (accounting, authority requirements), on the basis of legitimate interest (customer service, preventing misuse, debt collection) and on consent (marketing and statistics cookies). Data is used for managing bookings, vehicle handover and return, invoicing, damage handling and customer communication.
4. Disclosures and processors
We never sell personal data. Data is shared only as necessary with the booking system (RowlyGO), the payment provider, accounting, the insurer (If) and, where required, debt collection and authorities. Processors are bound by agreements and confidentiality. Data is processed primarily within the EU/EEA.
5. Retention
Booking and rental data is kept for the duration of the customer relationship and thereafter for the 6 years required by accounting legislation. Damage-related data is kept as long as the claim requires. Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them.
6. Security
Data is protected with user accounts, passwords and access control. Electronic data is stored in secured systems and any paper material in locked premises. Only personnel who need the data for their duties can access it.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure where no retention obligation applies, object to or restrict processing, request data portability and withdraw your consent. Send requests by email to seppo@kuljetuskiviniemi.fi
8. Supervisory authority
If you believe your data is processed unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
